Taylor Willingham

Taylor Willingham, a public engagement and change management consultant is the founder of Texas Forums, an initiative of the LBJ Presidential Library and Museum. She teaches Change Management for the Graduate Library and Information Sciences distance education program at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Recent clients include the National Coalition for Literacy, American Library Association, the Texas State Library, Bill Moyers Public Affairs Television, KERA Public Radio and Television, and the University of Pennsylvania, KLRU Public Television, the Government of Thailand, and public libraries in Russia.

She hosts free online workshops and panel presentations on libraries and civic engagement at http://www.opal-online.org and blogs about civic life. Willingham is a research associate for the Kettering Foundation, a former board member for the National Issues Forums Institute, a founding member of the ALA Committee on Literacy, and former board member for the National Coalition for Literacy. She is a 2007 Fellow for the University of Illinois Academy for Entrepreneurial Leadership and will conduct research, write articles, present at conferences and develop an interdisciplinary course on Civic Entrepreneurship in Public Institutions.
